Arts
You can expect a broader spectrum of arts and performing arts from DSF in 2011 including artists at work, animators, illustrators, graffiti artists,
circus performance, cabaret, storytelling and even extreme morris dancing. Most of these will be holding workshops so
you can have a go yourself and will also be creating work that evolves throughout the day.
Greentop Circus Cabaret
Friday night's family show will be hosted and curated by the Greentop Circus. Bringing together their own unique brand of acts
including comedy, circus, cabaret, variety and dance from one of the UK's leading circus venues and training centres. Our big top will
also be rigged for some exciting aerial acts.
Matt Pattinson's Doodle Wall
Illustrator friend of the Deer Shed Matt Pattinson returns this year to run our doodle wall. Last year we couldn't believe
how popular the wall was so this time it's on a much grander scale. Matt will of course be adding to the wall
himself with his own distinctive take on our Sky At Night theme.
James Campbell
The Sunday Times says of James, "Campbell's stand-up for kids has acquired almost holy status. Don't miss." James
talks about everything that is relevant to kids and anyone who has ever been a kid. His show is aimed at children aged six,
their parents and anyone who enjoys top quality comedy without swearing.
Miles Cain
Miles is a musician, poet and storyteller who has countless BBC appearances under his belt. At the festival he'll be utilising
all his skills in the name of family entertainment with kids interactive storytelling a speciality.
David Stephenson - Artist Blacksmith
Nobody could fail to be impressed with David's work last year so we've asked him back. There's nothing like having a
bespoke piece of jewellery made in front of your very eyes for a couple of quid as lots of folks found out.
Duncan Kendrick's Bush Crafts
Professional survival expert Duncan will join us part way through our nature trail to teach some of the basics
of surviving in the wild.

of arts, crafts and vintage wares all from local Yorkshire artists.
Jet Set Gothic Morris Dancers
As if traditional morris dancing was not entertaining enough, how about morris dancing with a gothic twist. We
welcome Jet Set all the way from the spiritual home of goth, Whitby, North Yorkshire. Be sure to bring along your black
laced sun shade to enjoy their performances to the full. Here is a workshop they ran last year.
Yoga from Faery Floss
After a failed attempt to photoshop yoga and candy floss together we've decided to just go for yoga in a pink top.
However Faery Floss will no doubt make a better job of combining the two as they offer relaxing yoga sessions over
the weekend as well as supplying the festival audience with scrummy organic candy floss.
Harris III Master Illusionist
Fresh (or not) off an airplane from the states we are delighted to announce a late booking this year - Harris III, Master
Illusionist. Harris will be doing a couple of shows over the weekend including some more informal workshops on Sunday. This
guy is the real deal, a big star in the US, more Paul Newman than Paul Daniels.

of the session - achieving your first minute of Stand Up Comedy.
Rope making
No, not random at all. There are certain things you need in life and you sometimes kick yourself that you don't have, jump leads is one. You also need
a good rope. With this in mind this year you can make your own with which to merrily skip or use for any number of other
applications.
The Preeners
A raucous, northern mother and her dandy, new romantic son are doing a spot of 'subtle' self-promotion. They are on their way to a speed-dating event.
Mrs Preener wants to see her Graham settle down with a nice bird but Graham has other ideas...
